Karthik Chintada is a graduate of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University in Kakinada with a degree in Civil Engineering. Karthik comes from a middle-class family, his father passed at an early age and his mother worked diligently as a daily laborer to support him and his sister. Since his childhood, Karthik had always had an interest in Civil Engineering and worked hard to get him his university of choice. In college, he was a diligent and successful student and completed his NCC certificate. Furthermore, he was selected as the JNTUK cricket captain, which taught him important leadership skills.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when classes had gone online, Karthik was able to purchase a laptop with his NSF scholarship and successfully complete all his classes in his final year. Thanks to the help of the Next Step Foundation Karthik was able to navigate a critical time in his academic career, and now has his eyes set on achieving a Master of Science in a foreign country.
